Acclaimed contemporary artists from around the world were invited by producer Nadja Romain and artist Jenny Saville to support the vision behind Women for Women International. Christie’s raised over 664,000 pound by auctioning each of the 23 artists’ exclusively commissioned artwork for the launch of Artists for Women for Women International, in their Post War and Contemporary Day Sale. The Auction, which took place during Frieze 2011, secured much needed funds which will go towards supporting women in conflict zones. The commissioned works were on show at Gagosian Gallery, Britannia Street.
