Archive Projects / The Double Club

The Double Club was a project by the artist Carsten Höller, exploring fundamental methods of interaction between the viewer and the installation. Rather than creating a fusion between the Congo and the West, Höller sought to create a dialogue by placing these two diverse cultures side-by-side. Supported by Fondazione Prada, who patron two major international exhibitions per year, The Double Club was the first UK exhibition that the foundation has been involved with. Friday nights were arranged by Richard Mortimer of Boom Box/Pony Step and Saturday showcased live Congolese bands.
