Fashion / Monreal London

Monreal London is the brainchild of German-born designer Stefani Grosse, who likes tennis. A lot. But she was never fond of the clothes that she used to play tennis in. Convinced that she could create something that is as functional as it is flattering and sexy, she founded Monreal, a high-end luxury activewear brand for women who want to look good when they’re on court.

The first collection was sold by Harrods,, The Queens Club, Wigmore Sports, Colette Paris and Mason’s Tennis in New York. is stocking the current the spring/summer 2014 collection. And Net-a-Porter will be selling Monreal’s high summer 2014 collection, which will arrive in May.

With 16 years in the fashion industry in New York, London and Hamburg behind her, Grosse is bringing a fashion edge to activewear. And she knows a thing or two about what women want: when she was at Calvin Klein in New York, she designed Oscars and Golden Globes dresses worn by Hilary Swank, Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow. And her time at Donna Karan imparted her with a thorough knowledge of drape and fit.
